A cabin life we didn't want to "decorate."
We wanted to live it.

We built Cabin Rugs for people who live the cabin life for real—gatherings, sandy feet, cozy nights, and spaces that feel quietly beautiful. From early coffee on the dock to one more run on the water, it's meant to be used—wet towels, dog paws, and all.

After leaving city life for our lake home full time, we realized something was missing. We could find plenty of décor that leaned novelty—or plenty that felt overly precious. What we couldn't find was a dependable source for textiles that felt right for real cabin living: elevated, comfortable, and meant to be lived with.

Cabin Rugs was created to fill that gap. We started with rugs because they ground a space. They take the wear of family, guests, dogs, sandy feet, and long weekends that turn into long memories. From there, we expanded naturally into bedding and soft goods—pieces that bring warmth, texture, and ease to the rooms where life actually happens.

For us, the cabin has always been about togetherness. We have seven kids, and our greatest memories are made at the lake—early mornings, late dinners, and traditions that keep everyone coming back. That's the spirit behind everything we curate.

Cabin Rugs is a sister company to Retreat Home Furniture, a brick-and-mortar store in Hayward, WI with more than 20 years of history helping people create spaces they love coming back to. Bill and I are partners at Retreat — and the same care and standards that built its reputation are the ones we bring to every piece we carry here.
